WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement congratulating former RGA Chairman and Texas Governor Rick Perry on his confirmation as America’s next Secretary of Energy.
“As a four-term state executive, Governor Rick Perry is a proven leader who will serve our nation well as Secretary of Energy,” said RGA Chairman Governor Scott Walker. “As governor, Perry worked tirelessly for the people of his state, and as our nation’s new Secretary of Energy, he will champion energy innovation in the states, reform burdensome regulations, and ensure governors have a partner in Washington to strengthen energy development. The RGA congratulates Governor Perry on his confirmation.”
