RGA Congratulates Governor Mike Parson On Victory In Missouri

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association (RGA) released the following statement from RGA Chairman Governor Greg Abbott congratulating Governor Mike Parson on his victory in the Missouri gubernatorial election:

“On behalf of America’s Republican governors, I congratulate Governor Mike Parson on his victory in the great state of Missouri. As a veteran, former sheriff, and small business owner, Governor Parson has witnessed firsthand the everyday challenges Missourians face and is the right leader to ensure that the Show Me State bounces back stronger than ever.

“Since taking office, Governor Parson has expanded opportunity for Missouri working families through his historic commitment to workforce development, landmark licensing reforms to break down barriers to success, bold plan to curtail violent crime, and balanced approach to get Missourians back to work and children safely back to school. We look forward to seeing the great results he achieves in the next four years.”

RGA Executive Director Dave Rexrode added, “The DGA, unions, and other leftist groups made Missouri their top pick-up attempt in 2020. For most of the year, the left highlighted Nicole Galloway as a star recruit and a near lock to win the governorship. The RGA invested millions to match the massive spending from Democrats in support of Governor Parson and we were successful. The DGA and the left went all in to try and flip Missouri and they failed. This is simply another decisive loss for the DGA and Democratic governors.”

The Republican Governors Association invested $14 million in the race in support of Governor Parson’s election.
