WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association issued the following statement on Asa Hutchinson’s victory in Arkansas:
“The promise of a more competitive, prosperous Arkansas under a strong, principled leader is what drove Asa Hutchinson to a much-deserved victory in this race,” said RGA Chairman Chris Christie. “Hutchinson will make an excellent governor and work hard to make Arkansas prosperous. The Republican Governors Association is proud to congratulate Governor-elect Hutchinson on his victory.”
The Republican Governors Association was a key investor in Governor-elect Asa Hutchinson’s victory, spending $6.2 million on paid media, mail, and an aggressive field program. The RGA ran 10 television ads in Arkansas detailing Democrat Mike Ross’ voting record of higher taxes and more spending, and highlighting his longtime support for the failed policies of Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.
