WASHINGTON D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released the following statement regarding Virginia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Tom Perriello’s remarks that compared the election of President Donald Trump to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
“Tom Perriello’s statement comparing the election of President Donald Trump to the 9/11 terrorist attacks is shameful, outrageous, and has no place in our political discourse,” said RGA Chairman Governor Scott Walker. “Perriello should immediately apologize for his offensive comments – directly to the 9/11 families who lost loved ones in Virginia, New York and Pennsylvania on that horrific day.”

Kansas needs a Governor who can keep us moving forward. That person is Ethan Corson. He is a true public servant, a middle-of-the-road leader, and a good man who wants this job for all the right reasons. I am proud to endorse @ethancorson for Governor of Kansas. https://t.co/Csf2Bjf6tx
