Republican Governors Association Chairman Bob McDonnell issued the following statement regarding President Obama’s decision to reject the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline:
“I am incredibly disappointed by President Obama’s decision. While I hope it is not the case, his action today appears to put ideology ahead of the most important issue facing America: job creation. The Keystone XL pipeline has broad support and would have created thousands of well-paid, American jobs. Americans need those jobs and America needs the energy. This decision will have a negative impact on our nation’s economy, efforts to improve national energy security, and the job prospects of thousands of our fellow citizens.”
