Trump’s selection of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, a federal judge currently serving on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, as his nominee for associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.

“Judge Brett Kavanaugh is an exceptional choice by President Donald Trump for the Supreme Court, and if confirmed, will uphold the Constitution and defend the rule of law,” said RGA Chairman Governor Bill Haslam. “Judge Kavanaugh is uniquely qualified to serve on the Supreme Court, and his record shows that he will apply the law as written and enforce the original understanding of the Constitution.
