RGA Announces 2022 Leadership

PHOENIX, AZ – The Republican Governors Association announced today that Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts were voted by collegaues to serve as the RGA Co-Chairmen and Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds was elected to serve as RGA Vice Chair for 2022. At the close of the RGA’s Annual Conference, all were chosen unanimously to assume the positions immediately and will serve for a one-year duration.

“It is an honor to be elected to serve once again alongside my collegues as the RGA Co-Chair for the people of Arizona and America,” said RGA Co-Chairman Governor Doug Ducey. “The 2022 election offers exciting pick-up opportunities for the RGA, and I am looking forward to continuing to work with Governor Ricketts, Governor Reynolds, and the RGA to elect more pro-growth and pro-opportunity Republican governors.”

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as Co-Chairman of the RGA in this crucial year. Republican governors are delivering tremendous results and we are committed to continuing this progress by electing and re-electing more great chief executives in states around the country,” said incoming RGA Co-Chairman Governor Pete Ricketts. “With highly contested governors races across the country next year and with Democrats’ failures in Washington, we are focused on defending our incumbents and competing to flip governorships from blue to red. It is an honor to lead the RGA again along with Governor Ducey, Governor Reynolds, and our colleagues on the Executive Committee in the year ahead.”

“In states across the country, Republican governors are leading the way and Americans know that Republican leadership means a protection of personal freedoms, thriving economies, and keeping our kids in school and government out of our daily lives,” said incoming RGA Vice Chair Governor Kim Reynolds. “As we approach this election cycle, the stakes are high for millions of Americans who will benefit from Republican leadership in their states. I am eager to work with Governor Ducey,  Governor Ricketts, and RGA leadership to ensure continued success.”

Joining Governor Ducey, Governor Ricketts, and Governor Reynolds are those serving on the RGA’s Executive Committee for 2022: Governors Doug Burgum of North Dakota, Eric Holcomb of Indiana, Larry Hogan of Maryland, Tate Reeves of Mississippi, Greg Gianforte of Montana, and Charlie Baker of Massachusetts. Additionally, Governor Bill Lee of Tennessee was elected Policy Chairman.
