Sink’s Record: Eliminating Jobs, Raking in Cash

The Republican Governors Association today launched a television ad highlighting Democratic candidate for governor of Florida Alex Sink’s record of eliminating thousands of jobs while taking more than $8 million in salary and bonuses.  It echoes an RGA ad released earlier in the year and is supported by the website www.AlexSinksFlorida.com.

“The more Floridians know about Alex Sink’s disastrous tenure as a bank president, the better they understand that she would be an even worse failure as governor of Florida,” said Tim Murtaugh, spokesman for the Republican Governors Association.  “Alex Sink eliminated thousands of Florida jobs and in this economic climate, Florida simply can’t afford to put her in charge.”

As president of NationsBank’s Florida operations, Sink accepted more than $8 million in salary and bonuses but was also responsible for getting rid of thousands of Florida jobs.
