Republican Governors: Nikki Haley Is Uniquely Qualified To Be America’s Next Ambassador To The United Nations

WASHINGTON D.C. – Republican governors, led by RGA Chairman Governor Scott Walker, delivered a letter today to U.S. Senator Bob Corker and the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations in support of Governor Nikki Haley’s appointment to serve as America’s 29th Ambassador to the United Nations.

“Our country continues to face many global challenges, and America needs a proven, effective leader to restore our nation’s place in the international community. Governor Haley, a two-term state executive, is uniquely qualified to tackle that challenge.

As Governor, Nikki Haley has overseen a large government employing tens of thousands of people and spending billions of dollars annually. She has traveled extensively to promote her home state of South Carolina on numerous trade missions to foster increased American commerce through international economic development deals. Additionally, as commander-in-chief of the South Carolina National Guard and the wife of a combat veteran, she has continuously shown her support for our military heroes defending us overseas. Overseeing one of our nation’s largest diplomatic missions, charged with promoting American values in the international community, would serve her and us well.”
