Republican Governors Lead the Nation’s Freest States

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The CATO Institute released their “Freedom in the 50 States” report today, highlighting the support and protection of both economic and personal freedom across the country.

Republican governors dominated the rankings, taking 9 of the top 10 spots.
