Report: J.B. Pritzker Broke Promise To Release Full Tax Hike Plan

A new report from WSIL is calling out Illinois Democrat gubernatorial candidate J.B. Pritzker for breaking the central promise of his campaign – to release full details of his tax hike plan. Pritzker has made an “immediate increase” tax hike the centerpiece of his campaign, but he’s refused to release details. Now, WSIL is reporting that way back in August of 2017, Pritzker promised he would release the full details that fall.

“I’m going to later on in the fall, I’m going to issue a full plan about it,” Pritzker said during the appearance on August 14, 2017.

WSIL rates that claim “false” and reports that Pritzker still “hasn’t released any specifics” and “didn’t give any” details when cornered by reporters.

“Did JB Pritzker release his tax plan like he said he would?” asks WSIL. “No. We rate his claim as false.”

Pritzker’s refusal to do what he promised and release a “full plan” about his tax hike is an insult to Illinois voters.
