RATINGS CHANGE: Cook Political Report Moves Alaska Governor’s Race From “Toss Up” To “Lean Republican”

National political analysts are continuing to recognize that Republican Mike Dunleavy’s message of change is resonating with Alaskans.

Just last week Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball moved their ratings in the Alaska governor’s race from “Toss-Up” to “Leans Republican.”

Now, the Cook Political Report is announcing a similar shift towards the GOP, changing their rating from “Toss-Up” to “Lean Republican.” In their explanation of the decision, Cook Political Report notes that current Governor Bill Walker is “among the most vulnerable incumbents,” while Democrat Mark Begich is “running third.”

Alaskans are ready to move on from the failed Democrat policies of Walker or Begich. Dunleavy would bring needed change to the state.
