Washington D.C. Bureaucrat Richard Cordray’s struggling Ohio gubernatorial campaign was dealt another blow this weekend. Yesterday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer backed former Congressman Dennis Kucinich over Cordray for the Democrat nomination. The paper’s decision comes after Ohio political experts have soured on Cordray’s chances, with polls showing a competitive race between him and Kucinich.
The Plain Dealer also took note of Cordray’s lack of enthusiasm for serving the people of the Buckeye State, claiming “if he’s passionate about leading Ohio or has a vision for its future, he hid it well during the endorsement interview.”
While Cordray desperately tries to fight off Kucinich’s energized campaign, flying in his far-left Washington D.C. ally Elizabeth Warren to rescue his candidacy, he faces a difficult path just to win his party’s nomination.
