Oregon Schools Receive “Mediocre Results” Under Dem Gov Kate Brown

Democrat Governor Kate Brown is continuing to fail Oregon’s kids, according to newly released test scores. The Oregonian reports that the scores reveal that Oregon schools are generating “stubbornly mediocre” results across the state.

“Performance has never been worse in math than it was this year,” and, “the share of students showing mastery of reading and writing has barely budged,” reports The Oregonian.

While other states improve their scores, Oregon’s results are “disappointing.”  “Oregon schools chief Colt Gill agreed with the bleak assessment. Asked to name a bright spot in the results, he fell silent.”

It’s clear – Kate Brown’s record on education is disastrous, and Oregon children and families are paying the price. In contrast, GOP gubernatorial candidate Knute Buehler has proposed a detailed plan to fix struggling schools that The Oregonian has called a “bold education vision.”
