New York Post Endorses Marc Molinaro For Governor

The New York Post is endorsing Republican Marc Molinaro for governor for New York in a scathing rebuke of incumbent Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo.

The Post today endorses Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro for governor — because New York needs a chief executive determined to turn this state around, not wallow in its corruption,” writes the New York Post. Cuomo has “become mired” in “Albany’s culture of corruption.”

“His administration has been roiled by repeated bribery and bid-rigging scandals that have seen several of his closest aides sentenced to prison.”

To radically change the status quo, the New York Post recommends that New Yorkers cast their ballots for Marc Molinaro, who has a plan to lower property taxes by 30 percent and re-instate the corruption-fighting commission that Cuomo abandoned.

New York desperately needs to head in a new direction with new leadership, and Marc Molinaro can provide it. First elected to public office at 19, he has served over two decades at various levels of state government. He has a detailed grasp of what’s wrong with New York government; his proposals, while ambitious, are grounded in realism.”

The New York Post concludes, “After eight years, a change for the better is in order. Marc Molinaro can deliver it.”
