WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association released a new web video today showing a striking similarity between President Obama and Democrat candidate for Florida governor, Charlie Crist: both have misled voters, campaigning on glossy promises ultimately exposed as falsities and outright lies.
The video highlights President Obama and Charlie Crist’s tendency to tell voters what they want to hear when an election hangs in the balance, only to retreat and totally abandon their word once in office.

“President Obama has been caught in lies and half-truths throughout the entirety of the health care rollout debacle, and now his party is rallying behind a candidate for governor in Florida who subscribes to the same twisted method of voter persuasion,” said RGA Communications Director Gail Gitcho. “It’s no surprise President Obama and Charlie Crist have bonded over their shared electoral strategy, but their ‘fake it ‘til you make it’ brand of politics was and would continue to be toxic for the state of Florida.”
