New RGA Ad, Website: Ted Strickland Failed

Second TV ad & www.TedFailedOhio.com Detail Democrat’s Disappointing Term in Office

“Ted Strickland rode a whole raft of grand promises into office four years ago.  The reality is that he has broken so many of them.  Far from being the economic dynamo he promised to be, he has overseen the loss of 400,000 jobs, rampant unemployment and massive budget shortfalls.  Ted Strickland has been a painful disappointment to Ohioans.”

— Tim Murtaugh, Republican Governors Association

The Republican Governors Association today rolled out a new television ad and a website, www.TedFailedOhio.com, both of which highlight the lowlights of Ohio Governor Ted Strickland’s four years in office.  The ad and website illustrate the massive job losses Ohio has suffered despite Strickland’s promises to be an economic dynamo.

“Ted Strickland rode a whole raft of grand promises into office four years ago,” said Tim Murtaugh, spokesman for the Republican Governors Association.  “The reality is that he has broken so many of them.  Far from being the economic dynamo he promised to be, he has overseen the loss of 400,000 jobs, rampant unemployment and massive budget shortfalls.  Ted Strickland has been a painful disappointment to Ohioans.”

As the new ad details, under Strickland’s watch Ohio has shed 400,000 jobs and the unemployment rate has doubled.  The website, www.TedFailedOhio.com, also links to its associated Twitter account and sister Facebook page.  Content and news items will be updated as current events dictate in the coming months.

“It’s a shame that Ted Strickland’s failed record necessitates a digital clearinghouse for all of his failures, but that is the sad state of affairs,” Murtaugh said.  “Ohio deserves a lot better.”
