New Poll: Top Ten Most Popular Governors In America Are All Republicans

Around the country, GOP chief executives continue to get high marks for leadership as they work to reduce taxes, cut bureaucracy, and reform government. Morning Consult’s new quarterly gubernatorial polls show that the top ten most popular governors in America are once again all Republicans.

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker was rated the most popular governor in the nation, with a 71 percent approval rating, followed closely by Governor Larry Hogan of Maryland, whose approval stands at 68 percent. Both Baker and Hogan continue to show high levels of bipartisan support even as they lead two of the most traditionally Democrat states in the country during an election year.

Also in the top ten were Governor Kay Ivey of Alabama, Phil Scott of Vermont, Chris Sununu of New Hampshire, Dennis Daugaard of South Dakota, Matt Mead of Wyoming, Gary Herbert of Utah, Doug Burgum of North Dakota, and Brian Sandoval of Nevada.

As GOP governors continue to receive sky-high approval ratings for their effective, conservative leadership, they continue to prove what they are known as America’s doers.
