New Poll: GOP Governor Chris Sununu’s Approval Rating Soars To 61% In New Hampshire

A new poll shows New Hampshire voters continue to strongly back GOP Governor Chris Sununu’s results-oriented leadership. The latest Granite State poll by the University of New Hampshire has Governor Sununu’s job approval rating soaring to 61 percent, making him one of the most popular governors in the country.

The poll also shows Governor Sununu leads all of his potential Democrat challengers by double-digit margins, putting him in strong position for re-election this November. As Governor Sununu continues to achieve meaningful reform and positive policy results for New Hampshire, voters are taking notice.

POLITICO reports:

“The Granite State poll found Sununu’s job approval at 61 percent, unchanged from last October, but higher than his initial approval rating last February, 42 percent…

The poll also found Sununu leading a trio of Democrats among likely voters. Sununu leads 2016 nominee Colin Van Ostern, 41 percent to 31 percent. He has slightly larger leads against two other candidates, including Steve Marchand, the former mayor of Portsmouth who has declared his candidacy. Against Marchand, Sununu leads, 42 percent to 28 percent. Against Democrat Mark Connolly, Sununu leads, 41 percent to 29 percent.”
