NEW AD: MLG released career criminal early, then he murdered his ex-girlfriend

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The RGA New Mexico 2022 PAC today released a new ad telling the story of how Michelle Lujan Grisham allowed a career criminal to be released from prison early — despite warning signs and recorded threats that his former girlfriend could be in danger.  Days after his early release by Michelle Lujan Grisham, he shot his ex-girlfriend in the face, murdering her in cold blood.

This brutal murder never should have happened:

“It could be your son, daughter, mother or father in danger next.  Michelle Lujan Grisham failed the people of New Mexico,” said RGA spokesman Will Reinert. “Governor Lujan Grisham forced people to stay home, closed schools, shut down small businesses; yet she let criminals out of prison early. The Governor put the concern for hardened criminals before the life of an innocent woman, and that tells voters all they need to know about the direction Lujan Grisham is leading the state.”

This ad is backed by a high six-figure broadcast TV buy.

“Never Should have Happened” script:

During COVID, Michelle Lujan Grisham locked down New Mexico… But let hundreds of criminals out of prison early.

NEWS CLIP: The Department of Corrections has released 532 inmates early… An executive order that authorized the release of more than 700 inmates from prison.

Many went on to commit more crimes, including career criminal, Chris Beltran.

After Lujan Grisham released him early, Beltran violated probation, got sent back to jail.

Then Lujan Grisham’s administration released him early again…

…despite his repeated death threats to his ex-girlfriend from prison.

Listen for yourself:

PRISON RECORDING OF BELTRAN CALL: “Got the biggest gun that I could have from the f*cking gun store…” “F*cking dead girl walking”

Days after his early release, he hunted his ex-girlfriend down, shot her in the face, murdered her.

This should never have happened.

Michelle Lujan Grisham is failing to keep us safe.
