Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts Wins Governor’s Cup for Third Consecutive Year

RGA Chairman Governor Pete Ricketts of Nebraska is launching his state’s economy to new heights as he is awarded the prestigious Governor’s Cup for the third consecutive year.

The award is presented yearly by Site Selection Magazine, a publication covering corporate and economic news, to the governor and state with the highest demonstrated economic development per capita. Thanks to Governor Ricketts, this is Nebraska’s third consecutive year of winning the award for most qualifying new and expanded facilities per capita. Notably, RGA Vice Chairman Governor Greg Abbott of Texas was the other recipient of this year’s Governor’s Cup, in the category of highest number of economic development projects.

In a celebratory tour of Lincoln businesses, Governor Ricketts commended companies for investments in the state. From KOLN News:

“Why it matters to Nebraska families is because this is what creates those jobs. When companies invest they create the job opportunities so that Nebraska families can send their kids to school, go on that family vacation and enjoy the good life here in our state,” Governor Ricketts said.

Governor Ricketts’ leadership and pro-growth policies have made the Cornhusker State an economic powerhouse, benefiting hardworking Nebraska families and expanding opportunities for all.
