MLG left vets home in “unacceptable” condition

A new report presented yesterday highlights yet another failing of Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s leadership, this time at a government-run veterans facility suffering from “inadequate state oversight” where 28 residents died (19%) of COVID-19.

The worst part? Michelle Lujan Grisham was warned for years by members of the state legislature about the veterans’ home condition and fined by the federal government, yet she did nothing.

Disgusting.

“Instead of working to take care the disabled men and women who fought to keep our country free as COVID-19 ravaged their living quarters, Governor Lujan Grisham dined on taxpayer-funded wagyu beef,” said RGA spokesman Will Reinert. “If Grisham won’t even work to protect New Mexico’s veterans, don’t expect her to fight for families struggling to put food on the table or to clean up Albuquerque’s crime-ridden streets.”
