Even after a narrow 2016 election that almost saw their state swing Republican for the first time since 1972, Minnesota Democrats are moving even further out-of-touch with mainstream Minnesotans by doubling down on far-left policies. At a rally yesterday in Washington, outspoken DNC Vice Chair and Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison emphasized the importance of radical income redistributions, stating that “Yes, we’ve got to redistribute” wealth in this country.
With a crucial 2018 gubernatorial election on the horizon and incumbent Democrat Mark Dayton retiring, will potential Democrat gubernatorial candidates Tim Walz, Rebecca Otto, and Chris Coleman join Ellison in his call for radical income redistribution? If Minnesota Democrat gubernatorial candidates believe this is a winning formula in a state whose presidential vote was decided by less than 2 percent, they will be in for a big surprise come November 2018.
