Janet Mills will give the final state of the state address of her term today, but don’t expect an accurate accounting of her three years in office.
Instead, expect Governor Mills to ignore the fact that the state is worse off than ever before. Mainers already know no amount of empty promises from Mills can remedy her failed leadership, including:
- A broken healthcare system where care is rationed and/or completely unavailable;
- Lies and deception by the Mills administration about COVID positive nurses providing care;
- The destruction of the lobster industry to fulfill an unattainable environmental agenda; and
- The most expensive Maine in the state’s history, with a grocery tax on families, higher energy costs, and a proposed gas tax increase to pay for electric vehicles.
“Families and seniors struggle, but Janet Mills goes out of her way to make their lives harder and more expensive,” said RGA spokesman Will Reinert. “Mainers deserve a governor who will do what is best for the state and fights back against policies that threaten people’s way of life. Unfortunately for those people, Governor Mills refuses to stand up to the activist wing of her party.”
