Michigan’s Economic Ruin 📉

Since Gretchen Whitmer took office in January 2019, Michigan has lost 112,000 jobs, including 24,000 manufacturing and over 3,000 automotive jobs, and now features an unemployment rate well above the national average. In fact, Michigan’s unemployment rate is worse than California and Hawaii.

To make matters even worse, thanks to Joe Biden and Whitmer, Michigan families are facing a 14.1% state inflation rate, driving up the cost of everyday goods like food and gas.

It’s no wonder Michigan is once again losing population.

“Gretchen Whitmer’s anti-small business agenda and refusal to work with Republicans to grow the economy is dragging Michigan families back to the Democrats’ Lost Decade of layoffs and population loss,” said RGA Spokesman Chris Gustafson. “Whitmer has refused to provide relief to struggling families by vetoing multiple tax cuts and encouraging Joe Biden’s and Washington Democrats’ spending spree that continues to drive inflation. Michigan needs a leader like Tudor Dixon who will encourage small businesses to grow, not declare war on them.”
