MI Dems Oppose Parents’ Choice

Gretchen Whitmer’s Democrat Party shared the following image on Facebook over the weekend, showing the true colors of Michigan Democrats like Whitmer who believe parents should have no role in their children’s education.

Instead of supporting parents’ rights in education, as required by Michigan law, Whitmer’s party believes that public education should be controlled by teachers unions, and if parents object they should be forced to foot the bill and send their children to private schools.

Reality check for Whitmer: Democrats like Terry McAuliffe already tried to keep parents out of the classroom, it didn’t work out well for him.

“Gretchen Whitmer must condemn the Michigan Democrat Party or admit that she believes teachers unions should control public education, not parents,” said RGA Spokesperson Chris Gustafson.  “Michigan voters will make their voices heard in November when they reject Democrats’ mission to expel parents from the classroom and will vote to elect a Republican governor who will defend their rights.”
