McAuliffe calls CRT concerns a “conspiracy theory”

ICYMI, via Fox News: Terry McAuliffe calls critical race theory concerns a ‘right-wing conspiracy’

Earlier this month, McAuliffe was asked what he thought about the uproar surrounding Critical Race Theory in schools across Virginia. His response? Not only is Critical Race Theory a “right wing conspiracy,” it’s….somehow Glenn Youngkin’s fault?

McAuliffe: “That’s another right-wing conspiracy. This is totally made up by Donald Trump and Glenn Youngkin. This is who they are. It’s a conspiracy theory.”

“Someone on Terry McAuliffe’s campaign may want to let him know that the teachers’ unions he has taken $175,000 from are actively pushing for Critical Race Theory to be taught in Virginia schools,” said RGA Spokesperson Maddie Anderson. “McAuliffe’s knee-jerk reaction of blaming every single thing on Glenn Youngkin will not work. The reality is that Critical Race Theory is a Democrat-led effort to indoctrinate children at an early age, and McAuliffe knows it. He would be wise to pay closer attention to the parents across Virginia who are rightfully worried about this issue and looking for a true leader to stand up for their kids, instead of just dismissing their concerns as a conspiracy theory.”
