GOP Governor Larry Hogan of Maryland is taking bold action to fix crippling traffic congestion in his state, creating the world’s largest public-private highway partnership of its kind.
With new approval from the Maryland Board of Public Works, Governor Hogan will move forward with his plan to make major improvements to I-270 and the Capital Beltway. Funded by an innovative public-private partnership instead of taxpayer dollars, the completed project will yield an increased road capacity that will pave the way for less traffic, cleaner air, and an improved quality of life for the tens of thousands of Marylanders and visitors who use these major highways every day.
Governor Hogan’s responsible leadership will ensure that Marylanders keep more of their hard-earned dollars while making major infrastructure improvements that will have long-term benefits for the entire region.
