By accepting an endorsement from failed Governor Martin O’Malley, Maryland Democrat gubernatorial candidate Rushern Baker is embracing O’Malley’s job killing policies.
It’s no surprise that O’Malley would endorse Baker, since Baker shares O’Malley’s tax hike philosophy. After trying to hike property taxes by a startling 15 percent, Rushern Baker is in good company with the failed governor who infamously taxed the rain.
Governor Larry Hogan has worked hard to clean up O’Malley’s mess, which included a whopping 40 tax hikes, including the infamous tax on the rain. As Princes George’s County Executive, Rushern Baker tried to force through a massive 15 percent property tax hike that “would have given Prince George’s the highest tax rate in the state.”
Maryland cannot afford another tax-hiking career politician like Martin O’Malley, and that’s exactly what Rushern Baker is offering.
