Democrat Laura Kelly REALLY doesn’t want to share her position on President Joe Biden’s new vaccine mandate on small businesses with Kansans. Today, Kelly again declined to take a position in an interview with The Lawrence Journal-World.
This comes after her office last week responded to the announcement with a very wordy statement that amounted to we don’t have a comment.
The Kansas Chamber of Commerce is clear that Biden’s mandate would be a detriment to Kansans, and Republican leaders in the state are already preparing to fight back – including the Kansas Attorney General who said he is ready to “vigorously challenge it.” Twenty-four Republican governors have publicly condemned Biden’s plan, and many are actively working with their state’s Attorney General to fight for businesses and workers. But not Laura Kelly.
“Democrat Laura Kelly’s cowardice and party loyalty are on full display as she refuses to fight against Joe Biden’s Washington-ordered mandates on Kansas small businesses,” said RGA spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “Kelly promised voters she’d be bipartisan on their behalf, but instead she’s staying silent as her Party bosses in Washington work to destroy Kansas livelihoods.”
