It’s not a good day for Democrat Governor Laura Kelly…

• Kicking things off, The Kansas City Star is reporting Kelly refuses to get involved in the allegations of toxic workplace environment and bullying that drove a staffer to check into a mental institution at the Kansas Democrat Party. Yikes.
• Up next, KCUR is reporting that years after promises the practice would end, the Kansas Department of Children and Families is still having foster children sleep in offices. Kelly stopped fining contractors who had foster children sleep in offices during her first year in office, which led to a spike during the first months of her tenure.

“Perhaps if Democrat Laura Kelly didn’t have the DCF Secretary helping her campaign challenge political ads, the state foster system might not be failing children in its care,” said RGA spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “Kelly’s final year in office is making out to be a case study in absolute failure of leadership where she passes the buck or points the finger when any problem is laid at her feet.”
