As the Democrat Party moves further to the left while its national leaders embrace extreme positions on Single-Payer healthcare, Kentucky voters deserve to know where their Democrat gubernatorial candidates stand on the issue.
At a CNN town hall last night, Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris called for the elimination of private health insurance and the imposition of a radical Single-Payer healthcare system. A 2018 study showed that Single-Payer healthcare would cost $32.6 trillion and force historically large tax hikes on working families across the country. A similar non-partisan study of a state-level Single-Payer system also revealed that such a proposal would lead to unprecedented tax hikes.
This raises questions for Andy Beshear, Rocky Adkins, and Adam Edelen. Do they support imposing Harris’ radical left-wing $32 trillion Single-Payer scheme – along with all of the tax hikes that would be required to pay for it? Or will they stand up for working Kentucky families?
