Kelly’s Record-Breaking Vetoes: Throwback Edition

Twenty-eight years ago America was given Forrest Gump, the George Foreman grill, a White Ford Bronco chase, and Nancy Kerrigan vs. Tonya Harding. It’s also how far back you have to go to find a Kansas governor with more vetoes than Democrat Laura Kelly.

As reported in The Sentinel yesterday, “Kelly’s bipartisan pretensions are contradicted by record veto numbers.”

“Laura Kelly claims to be ‘middle of the road’ and value bipartisanship, but her record as the most obstructive Kansas governor in nearly three decades shows otherwise,” said RGA spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “Kansans deserve a governor who will stand up for Kansas values and work with the legislature to get things done, and Kelly’s record shows all she will do is send Kansas down the wrong road.”
