Kelly Silent on Border as Fentanyl Overdoses Surge

Democrat Laura Kelly continues to remain silent about the Biden border crisis as record amounts of fentanyl continue to pour into the United States. Meanwhile in Kansas, a new report from KSHB earlier this week explains that fentanyl-related overdose deaths are surging:

In 2020, more than 93,000 people died from drug overdoses, according to new provisional data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That’s a 29.4% increase over 2019. In Missouri, deadly overdoses increased by 19.8% and in Kansas, they increased by 23.9%.

Experts say the increase in drugs laced with Fentanyl, combined with the stress of the pandemic, drove the surge in overdose deaths.

“Laura Kelly’s silence makes her complicit in the failures of Joe Biden and the federal government to get the southern border under control,” said RGA spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “Kansans deserve a governor who will hold the President and the federal government accountable as record levels of drugs like fentanyl pour over the border and kill Americans.”
