Just 36 Hours After Launch, Gwen Graham’s Florida Gov Campaign Faces Staff Turmoil

Just 36 hours after Democrat Gwen Graham announced her run for Florida governor, her campaign is facing a serious staff shake up after the campaign manager quit amid reports that other potential staff did not want to report to her. Beth Mantuga allegedly left her position at the Florida Democratic Party to join Graham, but her abrupt departure has many wondering what kind of campaign Graham is running. If Gwen Graham can’t even lead her own gubernatorial campaign, Floridians can’t trust to her to lead the state.

Saint Peters Blog reports:

“Beth Matuga, the Democratic operative who left the Florida Democratic Party’s Senate Victory arm to work for Gwen Graham, is no longer part of the north Florida Democrat’s gubernatorial efforts.

Graham launched her bid for the Governor’s Mansion in Miami Lakes on Tuesday.

An earlier report said Matuga had been let go, but the committee denied that.

Matuga is highly regarded in Democratic circles, although at least one well-regarded Democratic operative says they did not want to work for Graham because they did not want to report to Matuga.”
