WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Republican Governors Association today launched the next video of the American Comeback project, a national advertising effort designed to tell the success stories and accomplishments of Republican governors.
The newest video of the American Comeback project features Indiana Governor Mike Pence, a true reformer who calls upon the promise of the American Dream to inspire his leadership of a state that works for its people.

“My family was in the gas station business,” said Governor Pence. “I used to run out, pump gas, clean people’s windshields, check the tires, check the oil. Frankly, just about everything I know about public service I probably learned hustling around the drive of that gas station for five years.”
“In states like Indiana and all across the country that have Republican leadership, we’ve had government that’s as good as our people, that’s been living within our means, promoting economic freedom, expanding educational opportunity,” Governor Pence continued. “And I really do believe in my heart that the states hold the best hope for an American comeback.”
“The American people, more than ever before, have confidence in the leadership of state governments, especially governments that are led by Republican governors around America,” said Governor Pence. “The answers aren’t coming from Washington, D.C. It’s Republican governors that are driving America’s comeback.”
The American Comeback project will grow to include more videos focused on individual Republican governors, their personal journeys and the progress they’ve made toward bringing prosperity to their states.
