As inflation hits a 40-year high thanks to Joe Biden’s reckless spending spree, families across Connecticut are struggling to pay their monthly bills.

Now, as families reel from rapidly increasing costs, Ned Lamont is encouraging Joe Biden to worsen the inflation crisis and spend trillions more. Meanwhile, Lamont and his family continue to enrich themselves at taxpayer expense.

“Joe Biden’s socialist spending spree is driving wages down and the cost of goods and bills up, and Ned Lamont has been among Biden’s biggest cheerleaders throughout the crisis,” said RGA Spokesperson Chris Gustafson. “Connecticut families cannot afford Biden’s and Lamont’s failed leadership that is forcing them to make difficult decisions as Democrat-induced inflation causes their pocketbooks to shrink.”

As the federal government reported a 40-year high in inflation, Connecticut officials say families are struggling to make ends meet, particularly when it comes to rent, heating oil and other costs of keeping a roof overhead.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the Consumer Price Index rising a half-percentage point in December 2021, nudging the 12-month increase to 7 percent, the highest mark in 40 years. Product companies and vendors continue to cite staff shortages in passing on higher costs to consumers and businesses.
