Governor Steve Sisolak painted quite the rosy picture in his State of the State address earlier this week. He claimed to always support parents and kids in education, but the reality of the situation is very different.
While Nevada parents were begging Sisolak to re-open schools, he refused.

Why? Sisolak has always counted on the teachers’ unions for a check, and he doesn’t want that that cashflow to end. In the 2018 cycle, the National Education Association spent over $2 million in the Nevada gubernatorial race.
“Governor Sisolak’s State of the State address was filled with platitudes and misinformation,” said RGA Spokeswoman Maddie Anderson. “While he claimed to be a supporter of parents and children in education, the facts strongly disagree. Sisolak is bankrolled by the very same teachers’ unions who railed against kids returning to classrooms. When push comes to shove, Sisolak will side with the money every single time.”
