Governor Scott Walker’s Business Recruitment Continues To Pay Off For Wisconsin

GOP Governor Scott Walker’s successful recruitment of Foxconn to Wisconsin is already paying off for businesses around the state. Today, in the initial phase of Foxconn’s construction of its new Wisconsin plant, the company awarded $100 million in contracts for erosion control, mass excavation, storm water management and testing work to 28 companies, 27 of which are based in Wisconsin, creating hundreds of new jobs for Badger State families. As Governor Walker remains committed to job creation in Wisconsin, his work with Foxconn continues to score win after win for working people throughout the state.

“Taiwan-based Foxconn Technology Group has selected 28 companies to do initial construction on its manufacturing plant in southeast Wisconsin.

Foxconn said in an announcement Monday that 27 companies are Wisconsin-based and one is from Illinois. The companies will be responsible for erosion control, mass excavation, storm water management and testing work. It’s the initial phase of Foxconn’s construction of a $10 billion flat-screen plant in Mount Pleasant…

Foxconn says the contracts awarded to the 28 companies are worth $100 million and will create 800 direct and indirect jobs.
