New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu is impressing Granite Staters from across the political spectrum with his leadership throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike are showing overwhelming support for Governor Sununu’s proactive approach to managing the crisis.
According to the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, nine in ten Granite Staters approve of Governor Sununu’s job addressing COVID-19 and the executive actions he has taken – an increase of 16 points from his already-high marks in the previous UNH poll just weeks ago.
While a whopping 93% of Republicans and Independents expressed support, perhaps the poll’s most significant finding is that 86% of New Hampshire Democrats agree.
Governor Sununu’s widespread bipartisan approval can, in part, be credited to his readiness to take action in the face of this serious public health threat while remaining upbeat and putting his faith in the resiliency of the citizens he serves. Simply put, Chris Sununu has proven that he is prepared to guide Granite Staters through any challenge that may come their way.
