GOP Leadership Remains Strong In The States: 10 Most Popular Governors In America Are All Republicans

Across the country, Republican governors continue to take action and get results for their states, demonstrating why they are known as America’s doers. As GOP chief executives in the states work to expand opportunity through pro-jobs, pro-growth policies, a new poll from Morning Consult shows that voters are taking notice and rewarding them with high approval ratings.

For their third straight survey, Morning Consult reports that America’s 10 most popular governors are all Republicans, and even in states that have trended Democrat in recent elections, GOP governors are receiving rave reviews. Governor Charlie Baker of Massachusetts continues to show commanding leadership, with a 69% approval rating, making him America’s most popular governor in one of the bluest states, followed by Governor Larry Hogan of Maryland with a 66% approval rating in a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans 2 to 1. Joining the top 10 is Governor Asa Hutchinson with a strong 63% approval rating in Arkansas, Governor Kay Ivey at 62% in Alabama, North Dakota’s Governor Doug Burgum at 62%, Vermont’s Governor Phil Scott with a 60% rating, and New Hampshire’s Governor Chris Sununu of New Hampshire with 59%.

Republican governors are working hard to drive economic growth and reform government – and as these new poll numbers show – voters are taking notice and rewarding their success.
