GOP Governor Rick Snyder’s focus on job creation is paying off for the people of Michigan. Today, Governor Snyder signed the “Good Jobs” package of bills into law, allowing companies that create jobs in Michigan to receive new tax incentives, which will encourage even more investment in the state’s economy. With Michigan’s unemployment rate under four percent for the first time in 17 years thanks to Governor Snyder’s leadership, this new legislation will continue to promote job growth and expanded opportunity for Michigan workers.
The Associated Press reports:
“Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has signed legislation to allow qualified companies that create hundreds or thousands of Michigan jobs to receive tax incentives.
The Republican on Wednesday signed the ‘Good Jobs’ package of bills at an industrial property in the Detroit suburb of Rochester Hills. His office says the law is designed to help diversify Michigan’s economy and attract new, large-scale employers.
Snyder says Michigan ‘needs to set the stage to grow entirely new industries.’”
