GOP Governor Larry Hogan continues to post sky-high approval ratings in blue Maryland, with a new poll finding that 71% of Maryland voters approve of Hogan’s job in office.
Hogan’s strong approval rating is rooted in his appeal to voters across the political spectrum, with an astounding 78% approval rating among independents and 61% among Democrats.
This cross-party appeal means that Hogan is “well-positioned” for re-election. Hogan trounces each of his potential Democrat opponents by double digits in head-to-head matchups.
Governor Hogan continues to show that strong leadership gets results across party lines. Maryland voters understand that Hogan has been a successful governor, and this poll is further evidence that Hogan is on track to win re-election in a state with a 2-to-1 Democrat voter registration advantage.
