It’s been one blunder after another with Nikki Fried. She started last week with politicizing the Surfside disaster, which has claimed the lives of 60 people with 80 still unaccounted for. Then she was caught bragging about her “consistent” communication with conspiracy theorist Rebekah Jones.
And this week isn’t going much better. Her fundraising totals couldn’t even hit $1 million – leaving her trailing not just Governor Ron DeSantis, but also her primary challenger Charlie Crist. And last night, Florida Politics reported Fried has missed the state’s financial disclosure deadline:
“But there’s reason many are clamoring for Fried’s forms. The Broward Democrat has repeatedly amended forms since she first ran for Agriculture Commissioner, a job she was elected to in 2018…
“The information revealed significantly more income than Fried had revealed when she initially filed her forms…
“All this may give Fried’s team reason to make sure everything is in order and no headline-making amendments get filed after the fact. But there’s also greater scrutiny than ever and anticipation about what Fried lists among her assets. And there’s reason to question why, with that level of interest, she didn’t have her information sorted out before the end of June.
Bottom line: Fried’s campaign is a mess. And between the bad judgement of aligning herself with people like Rebekah Jones or the failure to compete with her opponents and meet deadlines, Fried is proving she’s not ready to be Florida’s chief executive.

Watch our videos🚨 NEW AD: Jay Jones dreamed of murdering two young kids and their dad over politics—and Abigail Spanberger wants him to…
This is more than troubling — it’s sick and dangerous.
@SpanbergerForVA’s candidate for AG threatened to kill GOP Speaker Todd Gilbert.
Jones is dangerous and deranged.
What does Spanberger do? Another empty vapid press release despite telling Democrats behind closed doors to
Jay Jones wished death on children and fantasized about killing people.
Abigail Spanberger’s response was empty—she condemned the rhetoric but stopped short of saying what any serious leader would: Jay Jones must drop out.
Her response is simply not good enough. https://t.co/7QPTjV3D8l
