Following Uvalde, Kelly “Not Yet Addressing” School Safety

Democrat Laura Kelly is once again not ready to comment on an issue front of mind for many Kansans. Earlier this week, Attorney General Derek Schmidt released his plan for school safety in the wake of the attack in Uvalde, Texas.

As usual, Kelly is “not yet addressing this issue publicly,” according to KSNT who reached out to the Governor for comment.

“Once again, Democrat Laura Kelly can’t be bothered to share with Kansas voters where she stands on a major policy issue,” said RGA spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “School safety is front of mind for parents and students after the violence in Olathe and Uvalde, yet Kelly’s default to ignore problems she doesn’t want to navigate politically is on display again.”
