Florida Democrat gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum’s email issues keep getting worse for his struggling campaign. With an ongoing criminal investigation into his office’s use of a taxpayer funded email system for campaign purposes continuing to be a drag on the Tallahassee Mayor’s gubernatorial candidacy, the Tallahassee Democrat has uncovered another email soliciting invitations for a Florida Democrat fundraiser sent using the city’s email system.
The Tallahassee Democrat reports:
“This week, the city produced nearly 50 more emails in response to a records request from the Tallahassee Democrat…
One, however, was an invitation to the FDP fundraiser at the home of then party chair Allison Tant. U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson was the special guest; the event was chaired by Gillum, then vice chair of the state party. Tickets were available at various sponsorship levels, from $50 up to $1,000.
The emails have become a campaign headache for Gillum, who was forced to apologize for sending them last month, on the same day he filed to run for governor.’”
