Even as hundreds of thousands flee unaffordable states like California and New York to Florida, Democrat gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum is on a crusade to transform Florida into one of these high-tax states.
Today, Gillum called in New York City’s Far-Left Mayor Bill de Blasio to stump on behalf of his campaign. De Blasio is a particularly fitting surrogate because Gillum has proposed making Florida’s tax rate even higher than New York’s.
Even before teaming up with De Blasio, Gillum has praised California’s tax rates, campaigned with Massachusetts tax-hiker Elizabeth Warren, and fundraised with even more tax-hiking Democrats in high-tax New Jersey.
Gillum’s tax-hiking agenda is a direct threat to Florida’s economic success. Floridians can’t afford to pay higher taxes than New Yorkers.
