Fearing Malloy’s Toxic Legacy, Democrat Susan Bysiewicz Hesitates On Run For Connecticut Governor

With top-tier recruits like Nancy Wyman, Ted Kennedy Jr., Kevin Lembo, and even Dan Malloy himself refusing to enter Connecticut’s 2018 gubernatorial race, it’s no secret that Democrats are nervous about running on Malloy’s unprecedented record of failure. But now Susan Bysiewicz, a prospective Democrat candidate who was infamously disqualified from running for Attorney General in 2010 after it was discovered that she hadn’t practiced law for years, is so worried about Malloy’s impact on her potential candidacy, she’s waiting on internal poll results before making a decision:

Apparently Bysiewicz hasn’t seen the numerous available public polls that show Malloy’s approval rating below 30% after his disastrous tax-and-spend agenda drove the state into fiscal ruin. And with her own record of supporting massive tax hikes in Connecticut, voters know that she has spent years enabling the same kinds of policies that have damaged the state’s economy. Connecticut has seen firsthand just how destructive Malloy’s policies have been for their state over his last two terms in office and Malloy Enablers like Susan Bysiewicz will not be able to hide from his toxic legacy in 2018.
