Failed Governor Dan Malloy Moves To Hike Fees In Connecticut….Again

Since 2011, failed Connecticut Governor and DGA chairman Dan Malloy has been a consistent contender for the coveted title of “worst governor in America.” While he faces stiff competition from the handful of Democrat gubernatorial incumbents around the country, Malloy’s latest push to increase costs on the people of the Nutmeg state has strengthened his case considerably.

The Associated Press reports that Malloy plans to increase the renewal fee for pistol permits from $70 to $300, over quadruple their original amount, under the justification of reducing the state’s $1.7 billion dollar budget deficit that he helped create. Malloy’s proposal is an inexcusable assault on the Second Amendment, and unfairly raises costs on sportsmen and citizens looking to defend themselves in high-crime neighborhoods.

After almost two full terms of failed Democrat policies from tax hikes to job cuts, Dan Malloy is using the budget woes he is responsible for to justify increasing costs, taxes and fees on the people of Connecticut. His tenure continues to be an unmitigated disaster for the state as Malloy has earned the distinction of becoming one of America’s absolute worst governors.
