Fresh off winning his party’s nomination for governor, Malloy Enabler Ned Lamont is trying to fool voters into thinking he won’t keep hiking taxes.
In his newest ad, Lamont claims that he would cut property taxes if elected. But recent video of Lamont from a campaign event earlier this year shows him stating the exact opposite, that he wants to “look at how we expand the property tax,” including the imposition of a statewide property tax on cars:
NED LAMONT: “And then you look at how we expand the property tax. Maybe you start with cars, a statewide property tax on cars…”
Lamont has already made it clear that he would hike taxes on Connecticut families if elected in November. Desperate to avoid being saddled with his predecessor’s legacy of tax hikes and job-killing policies, Lamont is telling voters one thing in his TV ads while telling his supporters the opposite behind closed doors. No matter how hard he tries to fool them, Connecticut voters know Ned Lamont would only bring a third term of Dan Malloy’s failures.
